Over the past few weeks our Tuesday meetings have focussed on the 10 Parami or Perfections, ten beautiful qualities of mind that, according to tradition the future Buddha practiced over many lifetimes. These are virtues that we can develop in our own lives. They are: generosity, morality, renunciation, wisdom, energy, patience, truthfulness, resolve, kindness and equanimity. We have found it helpful contemplating these qualities, how we can develop them in our daily lives, and how they support one another.
During April the facilitators have chosen a subject which is near to their hearts:
Spiritual Friendship (Kalyanamitta);
Three Kinds of Being;
Eight Verses for Training the Mind;
Rites and Rituals: A help or hindrance?
During the months of May and June we will be looking at the Noble Eightfold Path, over eight weeks. This consists of: Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort and Right Concentration.
Do come and join us!
